Delighted to get my hands on these songs, DC Nien were part of the initial punk movement in Ireland, and were considered one of the bigger bands of the time along with U2 and The Atrix. Really unusual, well structured first wave punk rock, with the addition of sax and synths and at least now I know that the name came from the area where the band were from, Dublin 9!

Edgy, beautiful, rising rock from this pre Rednecks band, reminds me a bit of Moss Icon in parts, Christ Ireland really had some amazing bands in the mid 90's, thanks to Anto Loserdom for passing this on to me.

Excellent punk band from belfast, relocated to London in 1982. Reminds me of the Vibrators or early UK Subs. This was later re-released on Captain Oi! in 1994 with 8 bonus tracks, so try find that one :)
